The Band of the Fighting Irish performed 10 shows in 11 weeks, the busiest season in its 162-year history. Trips to Penn State, Michigan, and Purdue as well as performances at seven home games resulted in a magnificent variety of music and drill performed by the 380-member band.
On this DVD are shows from all 10 Band performances this season, ranging from popular hits such as September and Take on Me to the all-time favorite USA show featuring ROCK in the USA and American Pie. The band also performed the music of the rock band Chicago with Saturday in the Park and Beginnings. Musicals and movies were featured, with songs from Jersey Boys and Top Gun. The final show took the band to a video-gamer’s paradise with Pinball Wizard and a medley of songs from the Super Mario game.
